Hogwarts Legacy Large Potting Table: How to Unlock and Use It

8 September 2026 | 5

Growing powerful magical flora in Hogwarts Legacy requires the right equipment, as advanced combat plants and quest ingredients cannot thrive in standard small pots. To cultivate species like Fluxweed and Venomous Tentacula, players must acquire a specialized large potting table for their sanctuary. Understanding how to obtain these tables and set them up efficiently ensures a steady supply of crucial combat resources throughout your adventure.

Where to Purchase Large Potting Table Blueprints

Unlocking the ability to conjure a large potting table requires visiting the Tomes and Scrolls shop located in the southern part of Hogsmeade. The shopkeeper offers spellcraft blueprints for tables with either a single large pot or two large pots. Purchasing the single large pot table costs 1,000 Galleons, while the double-pot version requires an investment of 3,000 Galleons.

If you are short on funds early in the game, exploring Hogsmeade to find hidden chests or selling unwanted gear is a great way to raise cash. Investing directly in the two-pot variant is often recommended because it maximizes your efficiency in the Room of Requirement. This approach saves room layout space while doubling your yield for demanding herbology recipes.

How to Conjure and Place the Table in the Room of Requirement

Once you have purchased the necessary spellcraft blueprint, fast-travel back to the Room of Requirement at Hogwarts Castle. Cast the Conjuring spell to open the building menu and navigate straight to the Herbology tab. From there, select the large potting table option that matches your purchased blueprint.

Placing a table with one large pot requires 10 Moonstones, whereas placing a table with two large pots requires 30 Moonstones. If you run low on Moonstones, you can easily gather more by exploring the highlands or using the Evanesco spell to vanish unwanted items inside the room. Position the table in an open space on the floor so you can easily access it for planting and harvesting.

Planting and Harvesting Large-Scale Combat Plants

After setting up your table, interact with it to select which seeds you wish to plant inside the large pots. Essential seeds like Fluxweed or Venomous Tentacula can be purchased from The Magic Neep shop in Hogsmeade. Once planted, each crop takes a specific duration of real-time to complete its growth cycle.

When the growth timer finishes, return to the table to harvest your fully grown plants. Fluxweed Stems are essential for brewing Focus Potions, while Venomous Tentacula acts as a devastating offensive tool during combat encounters. Utilizing fertilizer on your active pots will also increase the yield per harvest, ensuring you remain well-stocked for difficult combat challenges.
